The Women and ESCR Working Group has submitted inputs to UN Women to strengthen their 2015 report “Progress of the World's Women” focused on women's economic and social rights.

The document submitted compiles information provided by our Working Group members on how women's rights advocates contributed to the development of CEDAW, some of the CEDAW Committee's subsequent recommendations, and the impact of CEDAW and the Committee at the national level in terms of women’s rights advocacy and/or policy change.

We are grateful to Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation; FIDA-Kenya; WLSA, Zambia; National Union of Domestic Employees, Trinidad and Tobago; Members from Colombia; Center for Reproductive Rights; and the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, who sent us valuable information for this contribution.
