A tool for gender-sensitive agriculture and rural development policy and programme formulation

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) published "A tool for gender-sensitive agriculture and rural development policy and programme formulation" which consists of guidelines for ministries of agriculture and the FAO. The publication acknowledges that agricultural policies should aim to redress gender inequalities in order to ensure that development interventions in the agriculture sector are effective and can achieve enduring positive impacts on the lives and economic potential of rural women, men, girls and boys.
