Intervenciones de la Red-DESC en el Consejo de Derechos Humanos

Durante el 47º período de sesiones del Consejo de Derechos Humanos de este año, los miembros Mihir Mankad (Center for Economic and Social Rights), Debbi Stothard (ALTSEAN-Burma) y Allana Kembabazi (Initiative for Social and Economic Rights) realizaron intervenciones formales en nombre de la Red-DESC.
En sus intervenciones, los miembros instaron a los Estados a cumplir con su deber de proporcionar un acceso justo y equitativo a las vacunas contra el Covid-19 mediante la cooperación internacional y el apoyo a la exención de los ADPIC. Los miembros también pidieron que la rendición de cuentas corporativa vaya más allá de los Principios Rectores de las Naciones Unidas e instaron a los Estados a que apoyen un sólido instrumento internacional jurídicamente vinculante para regular el poder corporativo y responsabilizar a los actores corporativos por su vulneración de los derechos humanos.
