Overview:
This session will be led by grassroots women leaders and feminist advocates. Its objective is to frame loss and damage clearly in terms of economic, social and cultural rights of women and gender and sexual minorities; explore the urgent need to rethink our relationship to care and to see it as a structural element of the response to loss and damage; clarify the human rights obligations of State in the context of loss and damage and human rights; and advance clear, concrete, inclusive and gender-just demands, building on both the short-term needs and transformative vision of social movements and frontline communities.
