Oct. 25, 2007: IACHR - Guidelines for the elaboration of indicators of progress regarding Economic, Social and Cultural Rights

The Interamerican Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) has initiated a consultation process with civil society and states regarding the document: “Guidelines for the elaboration of indicators of progress regarding Economic, Social and Cultural Rights”.  This document, prepared by the IACHR, proposes a methodology to evaluate and monitor the ESCR protected on the San Salvador Protocol.  It seeks to provide a tool that serves as the basis for the presentation of periodic reports under the Protocol and build a mechanism for internal evaluation for States.
