Inclusive Development International, Oxfam, Forest Peoples Programme and Heinrich Boll Foundation presented the report "Land, Housing and Indigenous Peoples' Rights in the Draft World Bank Environmental & Social Framework", an outcome document of the half-day roundtable discussion that our organizations hosted in Washington DC on October 6.

The roundtable gathered experts and civil society representatives from around the world and members of the World Bank Safeguards Team to examine what the draft framework would mean in practice for land, housing and indigenous peoples' rights vis-a-vis World Bank operations. The outcome document outlines the salient issues and key concerns that were raised during the roundtable discussion.

The report is a useful tool for those participating in the safeguards consultations around the world.  For more information on the safeguards consultations please visit the website of the Bank on Human Rights Coalition.
