The Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) is a coalition of civil society organizations (CSOs), governments and donors that aim to improve development results by supporting capacity building for enhanced citizen feedback and participation. Through its Knowledge Platform, the GPSA has provided support for learning, networking and knowledge exchange of the CSOs working on social accountability in the global south.

A team of CSOs working on the 2017 World Development Report, including our Monitoring Working Group members ACIJ and Fundar, will organize a 3-week e-forum, “Engaging with Citizen Voices and Experiences: The 2017 World Development Report on Governance and the Law” from 16 October to 6 November, 2015. The e-forum aims to (i) identify daily experiences and challenges of citizens with governance and the law; (ii) reflect on the various factors that influence the quality of governance and the law in specific situations; (iii) share good practices of engagement between CSOs and governmental agencies and ways to promote reforms in governance. Members of the Monitoring Working Group are welcome to join this e-form and provide their comments and feedback on various issues of ESCR monitoring, such as the ways in which government M&E institutions are shaped and equipped to implement their obligations to realize ESCR.

In order to participate in the e-forum, you need to be registered to the GPSA Knowledge Platform. For more information about the e-forum, including the details on the discussion facilitators, please click here.
