ESCR-Net is part of the ProtectDefenders.eu consortium, the European Union Human Rights Defenders mechanism established to protect defenders at high risk. Network members Front Line Defenders, OMCT and Forum-ASIA are also partners in the consortium. In the recent meeting of beneficiaries of the mechanism, ProtectDefenders.eu issued the following public statement concerning the situation affecting human rights defenders working in the context of development projects or policies.
