The Democracy Center co-hosts video conference with activists on the anti-mining struggle in El Salvador

The Democracy Center co-hosted the first of two video conferences with the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), as part of their efforts to help document successful campaigns against extractive project in Latin America. In this video, The Democracy Center talks with four activists, who are at the center of the international solidarity effort in support of the anti-mining struggle in El Salvador, to get their perspectives on what lessons can be learned from this successful campaign to share with other struggles. This comes right after the important victory El Salvador won: a complete ban on mineral mining in the country.
