The Monitoring Working Group hosted the first of a series of discussions around monitoring ESCR

On 12th July 2018 the Monitoring Working Group hosted the first of a series of online webinars aimed at strengthening the capacity of ESCR-Net members to produce and use effective data on ESCR issues.

To initiate this discussion, this first webinar tried to break down the process of monitoring, and provide examples of how different organizations use monitoring to advance their advocacy and campaigning.

About 20 participants from all geographic regions attended the webinar. Speakers included Mihir Mankad from the Centre on Economic and Social Rights (US), Angella Nabwowe from the Initiative for Economic and Social Rights (Uganda) and Walter Flores from the Centro de Estudios para la Equidad y gobernanza en los sistemas de salud (Guatemala).
