PPSS is a local social movement in Odisha, India that represents residents who stand to be displaced from a development project planned by the South Korean steel corporation, POSCO. POSCO's steel plant and captive port project will deprive residents of their land and livelihoods, and the PPSS has repeatedly asserted residents’ opposition to the project through protests, peaceful sit-ins, press statements, and participation in village resolutions.
