Opportunity: webinar on "Making the Connections Between Human Rights and Sociology" (Sep 30, 2014)

On Tuesday, September 30, join the American Sociological Association (ASA) as they host a webinar on the connections between sociology and human rights. From 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. EDT, the ASA Section on Human Rights, in collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Science and Human Rights Coalition, will address the following:

• an overview of the international human rights foundational documents
• considering what a human rights-based approach to sociology might look like
• examples of sociologists connecting their work to human rights
• help participants consider how they might apply their own expertise to human rights
