Stop corporate lawsuits against human rigjhts

Re-instate the clause on the need for the proper review of investor-state-dispute settlement clauses in trade and investment agreements that was included in the zero draft of the Addis Ababa Accord (but which has been removed from subsequent drafts).

Why is this important?

Investor-state-dispute-settlement is a mechanism that allows corporations to sue a government if it enacts or changes laws or policies that may reduce that corporation’s profit within that country. These lawsuits are brought in secretive tribunals that operate independently of national legal systems. These tribunal proceedings do not allow for appeal and are often biased, with corporate commercial lawyers swapping roles between being arbitrators and counsel for corporations.
