Conflict and crises have dire consequences on women and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights. Ensuring the provision of sexual and reproductive health information and services is central to an effective humanitarian response and to fulfilling fundamental human rights and humanitarian law obligations.
 
This briefing paper analyzes existing legal standards and principles relevant to protecting the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls affected by conflict. It is intended as a resource for advocates, humanitarian agencies, and aid workers, service providers, policy-makers, and other key stakeholders.
