Right to Health for All

Just Fair and Doctors of the World UK collaborated to launch a report which denounces the Memorandum of Understanding that allows immigration authorities to access non-clinical personal information. The report makes note that through such access, the Memorandum undermines patients’ right to health. The authors express that the transfer of non-clinical personal data to immigration authorities interferes with the human right to health and compromises the confidentiality between patients and doctors, especially where undocumented immigrants are concerned.  The report explores "the international right to the highest attainable standard of health", "how the Memorandum of Understanding interferes with the human right to health", and posits concluding statements and recommendations.
