Instituto de Estudios Legales y Sociales del Uruguay (IELSUR)

The Instituto de Estudios Legales y Sociales del Uruguay (IELSUR) is a non-profit NGO established to defend and achieve full realization of human rights by applying domestic and international legal instruments, and doing related interdisciplinary research and advocacy.

IELSUR's aim is to bring forward legal actions based on the perspective of individuals or groups whose human rights have been violated to achieve the full realization of human rights.

The IELSUR achieves its goals through the benefit of integrated legal services of other disciplines such as the fields of social work, psychology and social psychiatry to assure the appropriate treatment of those  people who have been denied their fundamental human rights .
