Social Movements and Grassroots Gathering Sessions - ISM Kenya
Three full days of meetings were jointly organized to surround the International Strategy Meeting and ESCR-Net General Assembly on 29-30 November, and 5 December. Comprised of over 25 social movements and grassroots groups around the world, the objectives of this Gathering were to:
- Support mutual learning and training amongst social movements, including through solidarity visits
- Strengthen solidarity between social movements and to build solidarity and supportive relationships between social movements and NGO's, academics, and other institutions, developing stronger networks of resources and support
- Develop common strategies and collective work alliances
- Promote the inclusion and centrality of social movement leadership in ESCR-Net
