Women’s Global Strike

A global campaign that calls women to stop/slow down formal and/or care work.

The Women’s Global Strike, endorsed by a growing number of over 198 organizations and movements across 60 countries, is a global campaign that calls women everywhere to stop/slow down formal work and/or care work, and take action to demand women’s rights, to show the world that, if women stop, the world stops. About the Women & ESCR Working Group

Composed of some 90 members from NGOs, social movements, and individual advocates, this working group advances substantive equality at the intersection of women’s rights and ESCR. Through campaigning, cross-regional solidarity and advocacy, it collectively strives to advance transformative change by centering feminist visions and the demands of grassroots women leaders at the forefront of the struggles for economic, social and cultural rights.
