Women and Law in Southern African Research and Education Trust (WLSA) Zimbabwe’s mission is to advance the socio-economic, political, legal and human rights of women and children thereby contributing to their sustained well being in families and communities, specifically within the Southern African countries of Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is achieved through collaborative, strategic, and action oriented research in the socio-legal field and lobbying for legal reforms and policy changes on laws, practices and policies which discriminate and disadvantage women and children.
WLSA Zimbabwe aims to be a renowned Southern Africa feminist and human rights organization that coordinates and supports evidence based interventions to promote and protect women and girl’s rights through legal and policy reform and changes to discriminatory socio-cultural practices.
