The mission of el Centro por la Justicia y el Derecho Internacional (CEJIL, acronym for its name in English) is to contribute to the enjoyment of human Rights in the American continent via the effective utilization of the Interamerican System of Human Rights and other international protection mechanisms. CEJIL’s vision is to advance toward democracy and the full realization of human rights and liberties in the Americas, with strong institutions with public policies and practices consistent with human rights standards.
