The Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) works to advance and spread conscience on the importance of proper and successful democratic transition and contribute to strengthening civil society and human rights protection.
CEDEM works to promote human rights in Montenegro by means of capacity building for people working in public administration, the media and the NGO sector; policy work and research in the field of human rights as well as advocacy actions aimed at policymakers at the national and regional level.
The organization works on five main program areas:
- European integration
- Rule of law
- Human rights
- Security and defense, and
- Social inclusion
CEDEM provides research and analysis and organizes seminars related to these topical areas, aimed at public administration, the judiciary, and CSOs.
