As the world prepares for COP30 in Belém, Brazil, ESCR-Net is bringing together voices from across the Global South to demand that people — not polluters — shape the future of climate action.
Our new COP30 landing page gathers key tools, stories, and narratives that expose corporate capture, resist false solutions, and advance real, community-led alternatives. It includes political statements, reports, campaigns, visual materials, and collectively built narratives that highlight what true climate justice looks like — grounded in care, solidarity, and self-determination.
As part of this collective effort, Beyond Green Lies uses the power of visual storytelling to reveal how fossil fuel corporations and other big polluters continue to shape global climate policies in their own interest — while Indigenous Peoples, peasants, and environmental defenders lead the way with real, rights-based solutions.
Moving from decades of denial and greenwashing to the dangerous expansion of carbon markets and “net zero” schemes, the comic exposes the systems that perpetuate climate injustice and celebrates community-led pathways such as renewable energy, agroecology, debt cancellation, climate reparations, and corporate accountability.
The comic is now available in four languages — English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese — as part of ESCR-Net’s ongoing Comics Series on Corporate Capture, designed to make complex global dynamics more accessible through storytelling. All materials are released under a Creative Commons license, making them free for everyone to read, use, and share.
