Misun Woo is the Executive Director of ESCR-Net and a feminist human rights defender with more than 20 years of experience in gender justice, movement building, and cross-regional organizing. Her work is grounded in intersectional analysis, international solidarity, and a long-standing commitment to grassroots leadership.
Before joining ESCR-Net, Misun spent 17 years at the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD), including seven as Regional Coordinator, where she helped shape the organization’s feminist vision, strengthened transnational advocacy, and supported the Secretariat through periods of challenge and growth. Throughout her leadership, she has centered grassroots women, amplified community voices, and connected movements across borders—particularly in advancing gender, climate, and economic justice.
