Extra-territorial Obligations (ETO) Consortium
ESCR-Net has been a part of the ETO Consortium since its inception, a network of some 50 NGOs, university institutes and individuals from different parts of the world led by ESCR-Net member FIAN International. In May, several ETO Consortium members, including the ESCR-Net Secretariat, gave input into a set of Principles on extraterritorial state obligations. ESCR-Net is actively involved in the Consortium's Strategy group, collaborating with other members to design ways to increase the recognition and application of economic, social and cultural rights beyond borders and will participate in the next Consortium meeting in Geneva in March 2012.
