The mission of Chiadzwa Community Development Trust is to contribute towards protection of human rights, women’s rights, tenure security rights, environmental protection, and community economic empowerment through lobbying, advocacy, training, and knowledge sharing.

The Chiadzwa Community Development Trust works with and supports communities that are affected by diamond mining in the Marange province of Zimbabwe. They assist the community in realizing their economic, social, and cultural rights. Some examples of these activities include: rebuilding and relocating community graves; protecting the Marange community’s cultural shrines; demanding mining companies to respect the social and economic responsibility they have to communities; and challenging forced displacement and relocation. Overall, the organization promotes economic, social, and cultural rights for people affected by extractive industries.
