The goal of the Fundación para el Desarrollo de Políticas Sustentables (FUNDEPS) is to build a more just, equal and inclusive society that uses democratic and participatory processes to promote sustainable forms of development that also uphold human rights.

Through advocacy in the realm of public policy, FUNDEPS works collectively with all actors involved in the development process, including different levels of government, the private sector and civil society/civil society organizations. To facilitate this work, FUNDEPS carries out activites focused on capacity building, technical support, lobbying, policy research and development, strategic litigation, media outreach, and campaigns to raise awareness.

FUNDEPS prioritizes three primary areas of work: Global Governance, Human Rights and the Consolidation of Democracy, and Institutional Quality. In terms of work specifically related to ESCR issues, FUNDEPS seeks to advance the right to health, the right to a healthy environment and sustainable development, as well as monitoring of economic, social and cultural rights, with a particular focus on the right to housing.
