Created in 2018 and with a presence in the altiplano region of Bolivia, the Chimpu Network is an indigenous women organization committed on issues of interest for indigenous women, contributing to the promotion of their collective and human rights. The Network aims to strengthen the proactive leadership of indigenous women in Cochabamba Department, so that they can advocate on building an inclusive and plurinational, with social, environmental and economic justice while respecting the values, principles and rules of their peoples.

The Network carries out advocacy, campaigns, training, community organization, education, political organizing, monitoring, documentation, research and litigation on extractivism, defense of women’s rights, climate change, political participation and economic, social and cultural rights.

The Chimpu Warmi Network brings together several organizations focused on economic entrepreneurship as well as food security and sovereignty. Since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic, the Network’s activities have been focused on women’s economic recovery. The Network pursues the importance of ancestral knowledge, the culture, traditions, language and other elements that are characteristic of indigenous peoples.
