The Human Rights Council decided to request the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights to convene an informal meeting to exchange views on the most appropriate mechanisms to continue the work of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations.
The informal meeting to discuss a possible new mechanism for indigenous peoples will meet in Geneva on 6 December and the morning of 7 December, 2007.
The deadline fort the registration is on 30 November 2007. The accreditation form may be fill and a copy sent to mpena@ohchr.org for registration
Indigenous Caucus preparatory meeting
The indigenous caucus is organizing a preparatory meeting prior to the aforementioned informal meeting. This preparatory meeting will take place on 4 and 5 December 2007 in Room XXIV at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
