Claire Rita A. Padilla, founder and executive director of EnGendeRights and member of the Women and ESCR Working Group of ESCR-Net, published an article in the journal ForJib (For Jurídico Iberoamericano) on Women's ESCR entitled "The Use of CEDAW to Advance Women’s Economic and Socio-Cultural Rights"

In the article, available in English here, Ms Padilla illustrates how women can advance their economic and socio-cultural rights by using the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (OP CEDAW). She provides several examples of women who filed communications with the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the committee that monitors a state’s implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
